
X‑Ray Technologist – In‑Person / Diagnostic Imaging

Our client, a healthcare organization, is seeking qualified
X‑Ray Technologists
to support diagnostic imaging services across healthcare facilities in British Columbia. This role involves delivering high‑quality imaging services in accordance with clinical standards while ensuring patient safety and comfort in diverse clinical environments, including rural and community health centres.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Imaging Manager or Site Lead and play a key role in diagnostic support, patient care, and accurate imaging documentation.
Position Overview
- Perform diagnostic X‑ray procedures as per physician requisitions
- Support imaging services based on
facility needs and shift requirements
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals
- Adapt to different clinical settings across BC, including rural and remote locations
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations following established protocols
- Ensure patient safety, proper positioning, and radiation protection practices
- Review imaging requests and verify patient identification and clinical history
- Operate and maintain X‑ray equipment in compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnosis
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within imaging and patient record systems
- Provide patient education, reassurance, and professional care throughout procedures
- Adhere to infection control, privacy, and organizational policies at all times
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited
Medical Radiography / X‑Ray Technology program
- Current registration and good standing with
CAMRT
and/or relevant
BC regulatory body
- Previous experience as an X‑Ray Technologist preferred (new graduates may be considered)
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and imaging protocols
- Excellent communication, organizational, and adaptability skills
- Ability to work independently in fast‑paced or rural healthcare settings
