Position Overview

Fresh Start Foods West is growing. Our strategic plan maps out significant growth in a number of segment channels. To support growth in the National and Multi Unit Accounts segment, Fresh Start Foods West, based in Richmond, BC is looking for a dynamic and spirited leader to drive new sales development as well as manage, grow and nurture existing relationships. This role requires well honed skills in customer management, follow up, a knack for the creative side of food, as well as a passion and vision to see and be part of the long term growth of Fresh Start.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will:

  • Maintain relationships with existing Fresh Start accounts while growing what we are currently doing and continue to differentiate us from others
  • Build solid relationships with western Canada based Multi Unit customers and create plans that find solutions with Fresh Start product items
  • Liaison with Fresh Start Foods East on any eastern based National Multi Unit accounts that require distribution in western Canada
  • Work with and coordinate with GFS Canada National Produce Leadership on projects and customers as required
  • Plan regular customer call activity, report outs and follow up
  • Structure reviews that articulate Fresh Start's performance and opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare creative and passionate presentations that demonstrate our strengths and solutions
  • Manage the financial performance of customers to meet the needs of Fresh Start

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A driven leader that can translate the passion of our product into effective customer opportunities
  • A leader in the who's who of the Multi Unit Food Service market in Western Canada
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong listening skills and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem solving abilities with impeccable follow up
  • Able to demonstrate a successful sales history in Multi Unit sales that is supported by results
  • Dynamic sales and presentation skills
  • Effective at managing and ensuring customer relationships are a "win win"
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Proficient in Lotus Notes and Microsoft Excel
  • Able and willing to travel
