What you'll do:

As the Senior Software Development Manager of the Travel Policy and Approvals team, you will be owning the Policy and Approvals areas of our Concur Travel corporate travel booking solution. Policy enables companies to set corporate travel policies and ensure their employees' travel complies with those policies when they book. Approvals provides the workflow orchestration that employees use to seek and receive approval for their corporate trips. This will involve building next generation microservices and capabilities while maintaining existing systems.

You will learn skills that you can learn only when you work on the world's #1 corporate travel booking solution, with 86% market share in North America.
  • Lead and coach a team of 8-11+ software engineers and create a high-performance culture
  • Lead the design and delivery of new features with product management and the development team
  • Find ways to deliver the right product scope on market-driven release dates
  • Own next-generation cloud services end-to-end, designing distributed systems in a service mesh architecture using Go, Kotlin, Java, Docker, Kubernetes, Envoy, AWS services, and cutting-edge engineering practices
  • Own hotel booking capabilities in the current Concur Travel solution end-to-end, including Linux, Windows, iOS, and Android code
  • Operate with an enterprise cloud mindset to deliver on security, compliance, and infrastructure requirements with engineering program management (FedRAMP, PCI, SOC1, SOC2, and more)

What you'll bring:
  • Expertise in building highly scalable distributed systems
  • Experience running critical production services in hyperscaler cloud infrastructure
  • Experience architecting distributed systems with AWS services and best practices
  • Drive and enthusiasm for delivering top-tier, secure solutions
  • 5+ years of professional experience developing software
  • 2+ years of professional experience leading other software developers
