Sure, there are plenty of companies out there looking for great supervisors, so what sets Canfor apart? We're the only one looking for YOU.
You're an industry leader and much like us, our Pulp mills need you for just that reason. You belong here because you get stuff done. You get people. When you walk through that door and the urgency ramps up, you're in it. You're the person who, when the going gets tough and production is on the line, can navigate this role safely and with purpose. It's what makes you a great leader of people and it's what we expect of our Supervisors.
Much like yourself, Canfor doesn't compromise. Our Supervisors are ambassadors of their people and of the company itself. If you're going to be successful here, you're going to understand the importance of balancing production, maintenance, and your team's needs while being accountable to our safety culture.
The Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor is a key player on our Maintenance team. You will apply your knowledge of pulp mill processes/equipment and the electrical/instrumentation trades to evaluate work requirements. With safety as a first priority, you will plan, co-ordinate and monitor all aspects of regular maintenance activities. You will also assume supervisory responsibilities on a relief basis.
You will have post secondary technical training and/or qualifications in the electrical or instrumentation trades. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the flexibility to handle constantly changing work priorities.
If this describes you, Canfor Pulp is the right fit for you. Come find out why Canfor is consistently rated amongst BC's best employers. At Canfor, we're innovators in the forest products industry and if you are too, it's time to grow your career working alongside some of the best and brightest in the business.
