What our People Operations Coordinator does:
Providing an exceptional candidate experience by building solid relationships and promoting our employer brand, internally and externally.
Contributing to the success of the full cycle talent acquisition process:
Sourcing and attracting talent through various channels, including social media.
Attending hiring and networking events (virtual and in-person)
Coordinating our referral program
Screening candidate applications and conducting early-stage interviews
Coordinating interviews with panelists
Brainstorming ideas for our recruitment strategies
Helping to create a world-class employee experience
Planning activities such as weekly team events, wellness activities, and community volunteering events from start to finish
Seeking, collecting, organizing, and implementing feedback and requests from our team about employee experience to improve and create programs and events
Ensuring our offices are ready to welcome back folks when the time is right, ensuring that it's stocked with supplies and snacks and anything else it needs
Fielding questions and requests and directing people to the right answers, as needed.
Assisting with employee onboarding, to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee.
Keeping up to date with best practices and trends in the field of recruitment and talent acquisition, reporting back on KPIs, and implementing feedback.
Collaborating with your Human Resources team to achieve goals and complete tasks and projects as needed.

Jaw-dropping event planning skills - virtually and in-person
Professional recruitment or employee experience is preferred, but we're looking closely for transferable skills
Bonus points for a Bachelor's degree of any kind, but especially in Human Resources
Strong ability to build relationships with new people on phone, in email, and in-person; you're trustworthy, kind, and a pleasure to chat with.
Comfortable maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Very comfortable juggling multiple tasks and deadlines while still meeting expectations
Tech-savvy and a fast learner; comfortable with Google Workspace, Slack, and HR tools like applicant tracking systems
Basic troubleshooting skills, knowledge of when to ask for help, and confident in your ability to take general direction and figure out how to make things happen.
Able to work full time and authorized to work in Canada (commuting distance to Vancouver preferred, as this is a hybrid working position when it's safe to return to offices again)
