Job Description

Posting ID: 23529Position Type: Temporary City: Prince George, BC, Canada Location: Northwood Pulp (BC18)

You have well-established organizational skills, a high level of motivation, and a desire to work in a fast-paced team environment. You prioritize tasks, collaborate well with others, and have clear communication skills. Born with a creative streak and a love for new ideas, you are looking for a "tree-mendous" opportunity to gain communications experience with a focus on content development.

As our Operational Communications Co-op, you will be bridging the communication between top-level executives and those working within our operations. You will support multiple change management projects by collaborating on design and engagement strategies while you learn the methodology and models used to facilitate change. You will gain exposure to key functions within a large, multi-national, publicly-traded company while you liaise with the corporate communications team to provide updates on Canfor Pulp for community newsletters and award applications.

Your keen eye for aesthetics and details will help you as you scan external media and internal operations daily for key topics to share with the business. Learning the skill of storytelling, you will work to coordinate and draft content for internal communications including newsletters, posters, employee announcements, and crew talk updates.

This is a role where you can really "excel".

To qualify for this role, you are currently enrolled in a communications or design-focused Co-op program, and in a perfect world, you have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) will "highlight" your application.

If you are flexible with great customer service skills and can meet deadlines, click that "apply" button today!

Every year, Canfor hires students in a dedicated Co-op program for our operations to get hands-on experience and training. During a Co-op placement, you will learn why Canfor is a global leader in sustainable lumber, pulp and paper and a North American leader in green energy production. You will gain exposure to different operations of the business, work with a diverse workforce, network and make valuable connections, and learn more about your potential career. Take that knowledge you learned in the classroom and apply it during your Co-op placement with Canfor! #ind123 #ind124 #zipc

Our Talent Acquisition team is actively recruiting for this role. If you would like to be considered, please apply today.
