Description

Reporting to the Manager of Enterprise Applications, the Supply Chain Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will serve as the primary interface with the company's supply chain team to analyze business needs, identify and prioritize requirements, and propose solutions with the associated costs and timeline. In addition to considering IT solutions, the analyst needs to be proactive with the business by identifying potential areas where business processes/policies/procedures may benefit from change.

The BSA will take a leading role in translating business requirements into system changes/functional specifications and play a key role in determining and driving the solution. The analyst must be comfortable in leading meetings and driving consensus and must be comfortable with a constantly changing environment. The BSA will also have the primary responsibility for the IT deliverables and will provide production support as required to ensure smooth operations.

Through day to day functions, the supply chain business systems analyst contributes to maintaining and strengthening Saje's culture; proactively engaging in behaviours that align with Saje's values: Wellness, Growth, Celebration, Greatness and Belonging.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates communication with the key stakeholders and prioritizes delivery of IT services.
  • Interfaces with key Business Stakeholders and IT teams to gather, develop and document designs for new software features.
  • Gain insight necessary to prioritize and begin requirements gathering by defining and documenting project viewpoints, assumptions, and possible business risks
  • Analyze, develop and write business requirements, translate into functional design documents and participate in the technical design, test planning and user documentation processes for complex application systems
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, store visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis
  • Develops detailed business cases, ROI calculations, value definition, cost assessments (expense/capital), benefits, and risk analyses.
  • Ability to coordinate, lead and manage groups of people with different objectives from multiple functional areas and ability to form and manage an effective project team
  • Participates in QA processes; identifies test cases; explains complex processes; aids in developing test plans.
  • Provides ongoing, second tier application support and troubleshooting as required
  • Identify system impact of changes to the organization, end users and other integrated systems/processes
  • Conducts root-cause analyses using knowledge of existing systems, applications, interfaces, and other technologies and processes for defect resolution.
  • Contributes to a team environment where all Team Members consistently experience a sense of belonging and inclusion

Applicant Requirements
  • University degree (Business, Management Information Systems or Computer Science) from a recognized university and/or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years experience in Business Systems Analysis role within supply chain, logistics, distribution, procurement, supply planning, advanced warehouse management, etc.
  • Technical platform experience:
    • 5 or more years' experience with ERP systems. Preference to those with Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP
    • 3 or more years' experience with order management systems (OMS)
    • 3 or more years' experience with ruggedized warehouse mobile handheld devices
  • Proven record of complex problem solving and decision making
  • Understanding of business analysis principles, processes, and techniques
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in an organization, build strong relationships and implement processes & structures to ensure an effective working model between teams
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently staying on track to key dates and managing expectations
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications - including MS Office Suite, SQL, Visio, and Power BI
  • Experience with using ticketing and requirements management tools, including ServiceNow, JIRA and/or TFS
  • Clear understanding of Agile Software Development and IT System Infrastructure
