PocketPillsis a tech-driven pharmacy that is redefining pharmacy experience for consumers in Canada. Consumers can place an order on the App from the convenience of their home. We pre-sort medications into "PocketPacks" and deliver them to the doorstep, for free. Our innovative, online pharmacy platform is aimed at significantly reducing cost, improving medication adherence and providing easy access to pharmacists. With direct access to patients' medication history and using other healthcare information, we will predict medication adherence, medication efficacy, disease progression and incidence of new diseases by leveraging machine learning. Our addressable market is the retail pharmacy industry in Canada (~$25B annual revenues).

PocketPills is seeking an experienced Growth Marketing Manager to develop and execute a strategy for exponential business growth. The successful candidate will be a data driven, strategic thinker and understands digital media buying very well.

Job Description

The Growth Marketing Manager will develop and execute a data-driven growth marketing strategy to drive user acquisition and activation across all paid touchpoints for new users. This role will be responsible for end-to-end performance marketing across the customer lifecycle. As a key player in the organization, the Growth Marketing Manager will have a wide range of ownership overseeing programs that leverage content marketing, SEM, SEO, email/push/SMS, and social media.

In this role, you will develop campaigns and create experiments (A/B, multivariate testing) backed in strategy that can be scaled to drive on-going optimization of our web and app properties. The ideal candidate is a data-enthusiast who will not only be adept at developing strategies, but also at reporting results and monitoring on-going growth tactics. As the Growth Marketing Manager, you should have the technical skills and hacker mindset to be able to test, adjust, and launch in a fast paced, high-growth environment.

Role Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end performance marketing across the customer lifecycle with principal focus on new user acquisition
  • Own paid and organic growth strategy, from concept to completion
  • Leverage traditional and emerging channels used for acquiring and retaining customers, including some combination of SEM, programmatic display, paid social and video.
  • Partner with our Editorial team to optimize content marketing initiatives on and off-site
  • Partner with Product team to ensure analytics are accurately tracking marketing efforts
  • Own Metrics, Testing and Reporting
    • Define measurements of success (KPIs) for campaigns, develop testing framework, and analyze data to understand performance of various channels and campaigns.
    • Define growth and performance benchmarks and establish analytics and reporting
    • Build growth models using organic and paid channels
    • Create reporting dashboards and share relevant insights regularly with internal teams
    • Work with Product team to develop personalized campaigns and improve testing capabilities
    • Communicate growth performance to executive leadership to promote a shared understanding of performance marketing strategy, ROI, and opportunities


Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics or marketing
  • 5+ years experience in digital marketing driving growth (scale) and performance (efficiency)
  • 2+ years experience in overseeing the development and execution of integrated marketing programs leveraging a few of the following: SEM, social media and email marketing
  • Experience in Google Analytics and comfortable with other analytics tools such as mixpanel, tableau.
  • Hands-on experience with paid acquisition channels (e.g. Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager)
  • Expertise with email marketing platforms (e.g. Marketo, HubSpot)
  • Project management skills with ability to work independently and cross-collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Statistical approach in data-driven decision making
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to compile and present cohesive reports with clear action items and insights
  • Previous work designing or building landing pages
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment.
  • Genuinely excited about working in a startup, learning and solving problems without getting constrained by current knowledge or experience.
  • Motivated to drive tasks to completion and take ownership of projects.
