Location: Vancouver, BC (Remote)

We have an opening for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. You will be responsible for Accounts Receivable in Canada and internationally, helping to implement new AR software, and building new processes as we grow.

Copperleaf is expanding and this is a great opportunity to learn and gain exposure to different areas within finance. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, changing environment and taking on new challenges!

Responsibilities:

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you'll be involved in some of the following tasks:
  • Preparing bills receivable, invoices, and bank deposits Processing accounting receivables and incoming payment Performing account reconciliations
  • Support the implementation of new Accounts Receivable software, Investigating and resolving any irregularities and enquiries
  • Mentor more junior staff
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients Maintaining accounts receivable files and client records.
  • Producing monthly financial and management reports Assisting in general financial management and analysis.

About You

You have one or more of the following attributes:
  • You have 3-5 + years of experience in finance/accounting, with experience in project billing You have the ability to understand complex contracts and extract key data points
  • You are able to mentor more junior staff
  • You have worked in fast paced environments
  • You have experience with improving processes/systems
  • You may have knowledge of general record keeping and filing systems as an additional asset
  • You're open to learning new things and assisting other areas of the finance team
  • You have strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word Experience with Netsuite, Suitebilling, and Salesforce is an asset
  • You're detail-oriented, naturally organized, and comfortable handling multiple priorities
  • You're able to problem solve independently and come up with solutions
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You're a great team player and customer service oriented
  • You have an interest in developing your knowledge in finance!
