The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for performing a range of accounts payable duties to support our automotive operations. This position will require an outgoing individual. The individual needs to be able to work in a fast-pace and self-start environment, effectively work with multiple tasks and teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review invoices properly processed in SAP based on contract, PO and company approval process and procedure
  • Review invoices prepared by staff in SAP to proper accounts, cost centers and budget IDs
  • Work together with procurement team for POs preparation and review and approve POs
  • Manages and directs AP clerk to ensure accurate and reliable work is produced
  • Review and monitor the work of AP clerk for accuracy, and provide coaching to AP clerk
  • Review expense reports and credit card transactions
  • Monitor all bank and credit card accounts balance to ensure sufficient funds to cover upcoming transactions
  • Perform bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts of various companies, and prepare payments proposal for approval
  • Assist to design and implement procedures to enhance internal control
  • Effectively collaborates with all company locations to ensure that bookkeeping and processes are all strategically aligned
  • Other duties as required

Working Conditions
  • This role will be required to work in an office setting.
  • This role may be required to be in a customer service environment - dealing with auditors, suppliers, vendors, business partners, and consumers


  • 5 years of experience in an accounting role in industry, manufacturing and distribution industry experience are desired
  • Experience with full cycle AP is a must, deep understanding of business operation, ability to process accounting transactions according to business agreements, and integrate accounting standard with business operation
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher level of education is required for this role
  • SAP ERP experience is considered an asset
  • Excellent Verbal & Written communication skills to build effective relationships across departments and subsidiaries.
  • Team player who is comfortable consistently working with multiple teams with limited supervision.
  • Self-starter who will take ownership of responsibilities and strive to continuous improvement.
  • Legally able to work in Canada.
