THE OPPORTUNITY

Slegg Building Materials in Keating is currently seeking a Full-time Replenishment team member to work Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday. The wage range is $15.25 -$18.30 per hour, based on experience.

THE LOCATION - SAANICHTON (Keating)

We are located on Keating Cross Road in the commercial district of Saanichton which is on the Saanich Peninsula of Greater Victoria. Saanichton is a bountiful countryside where rural and urban lifestyles blend together. Bed and breakfast homes and riding stables are nestled alongside parks, campgrounds, old-growth forests and small farms. This area was first inhabited by the Wsanec First Nations people, who now live in four communities on the Saanich Peninsula; Tsartlip, Tsawout, Pauquachin, and Tseycum. THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for replenishment of merchandise on the sales floor
  • Assist in the stocking of incoming truck freight to the stock room
  • Put away and locate all incoming shipments
  • Maintain product displays on selling floor
  • Position will be working inside and outside
  • Help with vendor resets
  • Assist in keeping product signage/pricing accurate
  • General housekeeping duties and facility maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned by management


THE REQUIREMENTS

  • One year or more experience in an administrative environment
  • Flexible and available to work evenings and weekends
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as team
  • Perform repetitive lifting
  • Forklift/scissor lift experience is an asset
  • Physical requirements include:
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
    • Standing for long periods of time
    • Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight
