NOTE: This is a remote, full-time permanent, work-from-home position and is open to all applicants from across Canada. We will provide you with everything you need to succeed in your role.

What you'll be doing:

  • Maintaining overall company LAN, WAN and WLAN across sites
  • Managing all network hardware and equipment, including switches, firewall, VPN, and physical link layer, fiber optics, patch panels
  • Improving security solutions, including firewall, spam, antivirus and intrusion detection systems
  • Managing OpenDNS cloud platform for DNS security
  • Administrating AWS services such as Route53, VPC, EC2, Transit Gateway
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues
  • Patching and discovering network vulnerabilities
  • Assisting junior network admin and IT support with escalated tickets
  • Coordinating with security team to investigate security incidents and alerts


Notes:

  • Participate in off-hour network incidents and maintenance
  • Occasionally travel to remote offices for hands-on work when necessary


What you should already have:

  • 3+ years experience working in a high volume environment, with the responsibility of network equipment, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Cisco switches, Palo Alto firewall or similar products
  • Knowledge in cloud network infrastructure - AWS preferred
  • Relevant industry certifications are an asset
