Trims component parts of joints to ensure snug fit, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files. Perform maintenance, repairs, and redesign of furniture to meet quality standards and client expectations. Install cabinets in designated spaces, ensuring a proper fit and functionality. Manage various machines such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers and hand tools to trim design and join materials for cabinet construction. Glues, fits, and clamps parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit, using clamps or clamping machine. Sand, paint, stain, or finish furniture and fixtures as required. Perform accurate measurements and calculations to ensure precise cabinet dimensions. Maintain a safe working environment by cleaning and disposing of old materials, such as nails and screws. Assist in preparing material type, quality, and cost estimates for clients. Requirement: Completion of Secondary School is required.
