Cost estimator – construction Full Time

Permanent Position: Cost estimator – construction Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time,Weekend, Day, Evening No of vacancies: 01 Work Location: 12011 Mitchell Rd, Richmond, BC V6V 1M7, Canada Wage Rate: $80,000 annually, (37.50 hours per week). Overtime will be paid after 40 hours Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible Education: High School Experience: 1- 2 years of relevant experience. Languages: Basic English is required. Job Duties: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads Project cash flow and financing requirements Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems Monitor and adjust contract expenditures Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates Essential Skills: Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Continuous learning for different projects.
