Apply pesticides and fertilizers to plants. Identify plants with problems such as diseases, weeds, and insect pests. Cut and prune trees, shrubs, flowers, and plants. Tour work areas to inspect crops, and to evaluate plant and soil conditions. Position and regulate plant irrigation systems Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, and water plants, shrubs, and trees, using hand tools and gardening tools. Maintain inventories of materials, equipment, or products. Operate farming equipment. Keep the work area clean Requirements: No formal education required.
