Description: Weyerhaeuser Grande Prairie Timberlands is looking to add an experienced Planning Forester based out of our Timberlands office in in Grande Prairie, AB. Your immediate work team is responsible for Operational Planning of Harvest blocks and associated road systems in support of the delivery of the full Annual Allowable Cut (AAC) from the Forest Management Area. The main components of this role include cutblock and road design (ArcGIS Pro); development of the General Development Plan and Annual Operating Plans, implementation of the Growth & Yield Monitoring program as well as Indigenous, Stakeholder and Public Consultation. Field work is a component of the role at varying amounts throughout the year but averaging out to approximately 30-50% of the role. This role reports to the Planning Manager.

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $89,859 – $130,386 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
