Software Developer (ID)

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Software Developer to support an Integration Modernization initiative involving the upgrade of an enterprise integration platform from Microsoft BizTalk Server 2016 to BizTalk Server 2020. The objective is to ensure platform continuity, maintain vendor support, and reduce operational risks associated with an unsupported environment.

Responsibilities:

• Convert BizTalk 2016 Visual Studio solutions to BizTalk 2020 format, following established conversion guides.
• Update and refactor code to ensure compliance with defined development standards.
• Review and adjust schemas, maps, pipelines, and orchestrations for compliance with architectural and coding conventions.
• Identify and remediate obsolete components or unsupported practices.
• Conduct unit testing for all converted solutions and document test results.
• Resolve defects collaboratively with technical and project staff.
• Ensure compatibility with connected systems ahead of integration testing phases.
• Update and maintain all technical documentation to reflect conversion activities.
• Provide traceability notes for all modifications made to each solution.
• Participate in regular project meetings and provide progress updates.
• Support knowledge transfer and ensure sustainable operations post-conversion.

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of HL7v2.
• Hands-on development experience with Microsoft BizTalk (2016 or newer).
• Proven experience on large-scale healthcare integration projects.
• Hands-on development experience with .NET, C#, Visual Studio.
• Experience using Azure DevOps (On-Premises) for source control and deployment.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience collaborating with multiple project stakeholders (e.g., business stakeholders, PMs, and BAs).
• Ability to create and maintain detailed technical project documentation.
• Knowledge of FHIR and API-based integration.
• Experience working in large team environments supporting enterprise integration projects.
