Join the Fraser Cascade School District as a District Counsellor, supporting student mental health and well-being through a term-specific position. Collaborate with teams to deliver impactful counselling services and flexible support.
This is a full-time, term-specific role focused on enhancing student learning and well-being within a collaborative environment. You will engage with elementary students and their families, providing mental health support across various settings. Your flexibility will be essential as you meet diverse needs, partnering with the Inclusive Education Team and District Child & Youth Care Workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide mental health support for students and families
- Collaborate with inclusive education teams
- Supervise and support Child & Youth Care Workers
- Deliver direct counselling and instruction in life skills
- Advocate for students and develop safety plans
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology
- Valid B.C. Teaching Certificate
- Two years of teaching experience
- Experience in mental health settings
- Strong knowledge of inclusive education
