
Royal Columbian Hospital is looking for an Acute Care General Surgeon to support its mission of patient-centered care and medical education. Collaborate effectively within a thriving surgical team. As a member of the Division of General Surgery at Royal Columbian Hospital, your focus will be on acute surgical care while fostering an environment of learning and improvement. Collaborate with a group of 10 surgeons across specialties. Candidates must commit to a minimum of 12 weeks of service annually, with locum options available. Key Responsibilities: • Provide leadership in acute surgical care delivery • Educate and support residents and medical students • Engage in quality improvement and clinical research • Work alongside specialists in trauma and surgery • Maintain current medical licenses and credentials Requirements: • Excellent surgical and clinical skills are critical • Fellowship in Trauma or Acute Care highly desirable • Valid CMPA, FRCSC, and CSPBC credentials required • Minimum annual commitment of 12 weeks • Opportunity for locum experience before application Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of surgical medicine at Royal Columbian Hospital.
