Appointment Setter

This is an independent contractor opportunity, commission-based with no cap on earnings. OTE (on-target earnings): $150,000/year. Your income is tied directly to your production — OTE reflects what a consultant hitting target close rates and deal volume can expect to earn, not a guarantee. HIC will walk through our actual average and top-performer numbers during your interview so you can see exactly how that figure is built.

You'll be contracted to deliver in-home consultations from appointments our setter team books for you, walk homeowners through HIC's renovation and construction services, and close signed agreements. Product training and a ramp-up period are provided so you can hit the ground running.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-home consultations that walk homeowners through their project options with confidence and clarity
• Help homeowners find the right scope and tier for their needs — Refresh, Remodel, or Custom
• Manage your sold projects from signed agreement through to handoff to our project management team
• Partner with HIC's project team on site measurements and scope confirmation
• Build your own referral network and cultivate repeat and referral business
• Deliver a professional, respectful experience for every homeowner, every time

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of sales experience (home services, renovation, or in-home sales preferred)
• Passionate about exceeding customer expectations
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable being paid on performance
• A confident communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using CRM and scheduling tools to run your own pipeline
• Adaptable, coachable, and energized by a fast-paced environment
• A valid BC driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Flexibility to meet homeowners during evenings and weekends
• Legally entitled to work in Canada

Before You're Contracted

HIC conducts a background check as part of onboarding, given this role involves entering clients' homes. We do not require a drug screen for this position, in line with BC human rights guidance limiting drug testing to safety-sensitive roles.
