The Opportunity

As a Claims Advisor, you will work closely with the claims team to provide administrative support and help direct client inquiries. This is a full time permanent position at our Burnaby Head Office in the Still Creek area, centrally located near Brentwood Town Centre and Gilmore station in the Willingdon Business Park. The location is skytrain accessible and surrounded by shops, restaurants, and other amenities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the claims process by being the first point of contact for opening new claims and collecting and processing information.
• Answer inbound claims calls from clients, carriers, and internal & external adjustors.
• Provide clients with information regarding the status of claims.
• Work closely with and support the claim administrative and advocacy teams.
• Update claims in the claims management system based on input and reports from carriers and adjustors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in similar administrative roles.
• Obtain a Level 1 General Insurance License or be willing to obtain the license.
• Proficiency with MS Office, with a focus on Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail, solid work ethic, and a 'can do' attitude.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication.

Preferred Experience

• Insurance industry experience.
• Familiarity with EPIC.

Competitive compensation with a salary range of $55,000 to $65,000, depending on skills, experience and business line. We offer:
