Operations Manager

Responsibilities

    • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, lounge, and hospitality spaces to ensure smooth and consistent execution
    • Maintain a strong presence on the floor during peak service periods while supporting both front and back of house teams as required
    • Lead daily operational briefings, team communication, and service execution standards
    • Ensure operational systems, procedures, cleanliness, and service expectations are consistently upheld
    • Monitor labour, scheduling, operational efficiencies, and daily business performance
    • Lead by example in delivering exceptional hospitality and guest engagement
    • Build strong guest relationships through active floor presence and meaningful interaction
    • Handle guest concerns and service recovery professionally and proactively
    • Support reservations, large group bookings, and private event coordination
    • Coach, mentor, and develop front line hospitality teams through hands on leadership and training
    • Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture
    • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and ongoing staff development
    • Support training initiatives related to food, beverage, wine, and service knowledge
    • Review daily sales, labour, and operational reporting against targets and forecasts
    • Monitor cash handling procedures, reconciliation, discounts, voids, and promotions
    • Support inventory management, ordering, supplier relations, and cost control initiatives
    • Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and operational planning
    • Contribute to ongoing efforts to improve profitability, efficiency, and guest satisfaction
    • Oversee private dining, group bookings, and special event execution
    • Work closely with organizers, culinary leadership, and service teams to coordinate all event details
    • Support marketing initiatives, promotions, and community engagement opportunities
Requirements
    • 3-5+ years of leadership experience within restaurant, resort, hotel, or hospitality operations
    • Strong floor leadership presence with a hands on and service-driven management style
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills
    • Experience managing labour, scheduling, inventory, and daily operational reporting
    • Strong understanding of guest service standards and hospitality culture
    • Comfortable working in a fast paced, high volume, guest-focused environment
    • Wine, beverage, or premium dining knowledge is considered an asset
    • Experience with events, group dining, or resort operations is advantageous
